James started as an apprentice with the Seat brand in 2004 having worked part time in a private garage for two years prior. He was part of the first group of Seat apprentices to participate in the VW AG advanced apprenticeship program which he completed in 2007 along with an ATA service technician accreditation.
James stayed with the brand until 2010, then offered a more senior position/MOT tester training with a large independent VW Group specialist where he worked up to a management position.
In 2013 James spent 12 months working with a VW Group where he learned many new aspects of the trade. He returned back to Seat in 2014 as a senior technician working towards his master technician accreditation.
James started with skoda in 2015 where he was promoted to workshop manager and took on the roles of: workshop warranty administrator, lead technician and MOT site manager. Within 18 months he had gained his IMI diagnostic technician accreditation/IMI and Skoda Master technician accreditations.
In early 2017 James was approached about becoming a new Master technician at a Seat dealership. As it currently stands he is on the brink of gaining his second VW Group master technician title for the Seat brand.
